Documenting and promoting experiments in arts, craft, and tech (mainly electronics) in a workshop on beautiful Gabriola Island.
About
Gabriola Gadgets is me, Konrad Mauch, a retired electronics engineer and technology entrepreneur aspiring to nurture his artisanal interests and to continue his interest in the application of technology. It’s an exploration of the intersection between craft, art and technology. The results are pieces for the home that are fun and functional with a distinct Gabriola Island aesthetic. Materials and techniques come from woodworking, electronics, paper crafts, metalsmithing, and more. All works are made by hand (with help from lots of tools!) on Gabriola Island.
